Black Friday

3:35 AM  -  [“January 1979” by MeWithoutYou begins playing]  The alarm clock on my phone is set to play this song.  So anyways, I roll out of bed and begin getting dressed.  “Why?” you might ask, well the reason is simple, my motives are plain: Black Friday.  A day that will forever live in infamy.

4:02 AM  -  Taylor and Bayley Phillips meet up with my dad and I, and the 4 of us head out to Fry’s.

4:30 AM  -  We arrive at our destination (Fry’s) along with 1000 others.  The line is wrapped around the back of the store as everyone waits in the cold for Fry’s to open their doors.

4:59 AM  -  The line starts to move faster and faster towards the now open doors.

?:?? AM  -  From this point on all time stood still.  The shopping was so intense it was like warfare.  But I was ready, and I consider myself seasoned, seeing as this is my 3rd year in a row to brave “Black Friday”.

6:20 AM  -  We’re on our way to Northpark because rumor has it that the Apple store is going to have a sale.

7:00 AM  -  Apple opens its doors for us, but i was disappointed to find that their “sale” consisted of like $15 off of some of their higher priced items… not impressive at all.

7:45 AM  -  Arrived home feeling like I just stared in one of those eBay commercials where people fight for an item and then it says, “Shop Victoriously” or “Its better when you win it”.   Yeah, I felt like that.  It was cool.  And even though I was up super-crazy early, I know I’m going to do it again next year.

P.S.  Because my day started so early, I’m going to post a 2nd entry later today.  Look forward to it!
