Some Wednesdays ago I decided to swing by Starbucks before going to the church.

I didn’t have to be at school until 12:30 so after prayer this morning I dropped Emily off at school [she had to take the TAKS] and then I went into work.  I liked the idea of getting 3 hours of work done before school.  Typically if I wanted to do that I’d have to get to work by 5:30 in the morning

A while ago I was at this tight little coffee shop in Dallas.  

I was there with some friends because it was rumored that on Tuesday nights the coffee shop would open up the area upstairs for anyone that wanted to watch a movie.  A small group of indie-college aged kids found this appealing and made a thing of it.

Nothing exceptional happened today.

Well, I take that back, I went to Waffle House, and that’s always a guaranteed good time.  I went out for dinner with Emily and Angela.  While there we developed some theories about Waffle House.  They are as follows:

Last night was prom.  It was tight.

The dancing for the most part was dirty.  They played a lot of rap.  I didn’t partake.  However, they played some good songs and I danced [keeping it clean of coarse] like there was no tomorrow.

Today my class went on a field trip to the DMA [Dallas Museum of Art].  It was pretty tight.  The museum is like 4 stories and a great place to get lost in.  One person said you were allowed to take pictures while another personnel said you were not.  I didn’t bother because I didn’t want to start a fuss.

The Office was closed tonight.  Not my office, mind you, but NBC’s American adaptation of the hit UK comedy entitled The Office [starring Steve Carrell, John Krazinski, and Rain Wilson].  It got cancelled tonight due to the storm.  It wasn’t even that big of a deal but apparently NBC felt that the storm was so important that they bogarted the airwaves for almost an hour.

Here is my predicament:  I don’t know when a complimenting crosses the line and becomes flirting.  I don’t know when a girl is going to interpret a nice compliment for something more than it is.  It makes complimenting dangerous.
