“If we haven’t used it in the past week then we obviously don’t need it.”
Or, at least that’s what it felt like as I drove through the Woodcreek subdivision in Fate. Every other house had a garage sale going on. It appeared as a strange phenomenon. There were 12 garage sales on a single block. No joke. I couldn’t understand what was going on. My first thought was, “Dang, the recession must be hitting pretty hard.” But I realized that was irrational to think that a recession would hit only one neighborhood. I later found out that the HOA (Home Owners’ Association) had rules stating that you could only garage sale twice a year on designated days. Yesterday was one of them.
