I didn’t actually have to roll up my sleeves.

I had just gotten out of the shower and hadn’t yet put on a shirt when I decided to brush my teeth.  Now, before I get too far into my story let me stop and say that my sink has had some draining problems for about a month now.  I’ve told my dad in hopes that he would take care of it, but he didn’t, and as an effect I adapted and learned how to wash my face and brush my teeth while using the least amount of water [so that I wouldn't have to worry about it now draining].  

Where was I…?  Brushing my teeth, right.  So I was spitting out all the foamy toothpaste after I had finished brushing all of my pearly whites, and the water level kept rising.  I didn’t have the faucet opened very much so it felt a little irritating.  So I finished swishing and spitting and then waited to watch the last bit slowly sink down the drain.  [Note again that my sink wasn't clogged, just really really slow].  

Once everything had cleared I began to take apart my sink.  I didn’t do anything major, but I did take apart some pieces that I don’t know the names of.  But they all had to do with the drain.  Regardless, when I opened it up enough to see down into the pipe I noticed a bunch of hair and dirt.  This is where it gets pretty gross.  I ran and grabbed a Q-tip to try and pull some of the gunk out.  I got a bit, but then I realized that this was a man-sized job, and no meezily (sp?) Q-tip was going to get it done.  So, figuratively, I rolled up my sleeves and to make a long story short, I pulled out enough hair and dirt to equal the size of a mouse.  

Now my sink works great.
