Day 2

This is day 2 of an 8 day trip with LTUL to Cornerstone (Bushnel, IL)

We arrived around 7am. We found our place at the end of a mile long
line. The gates didn’t open until noon (however if you had a booth you
got in at 9). We entered and found a spot to claim as our own. From
there we went to LTUL’s booth to set things up there.

Afterwards I needed to go to the bathroom. Cornerstone

This is day 1 of an 8 day segment regarding Love The Unloved’s trip to
Cornerstone.

“Tommy, your order is ready, Tommy”

Our group was the only people there. We looked at each other and asked
who that could be for since there wasn’t any one else present. I was
seated in the seat closest to the counter so I was thus elected to go
see if the food was for us I for “Tommy”. I went up there but all

Snow Cones

Snow cones are the bomb. Today I met my friend Grace at that little
shack near the Sonic for some icy treats. I got “tigers’ blood” she
had “rasberries and cream”. She also got a small peach cone for the
kids to share (it was there first time).

I had forgotten how great sugary/syrupy snow was on a hot Texas day.
So if the heat starts to get to you swing by and order a delicious and
refreshing cone from your

As some of you may be aware, this fall I plan to attend school at Christ For the Nations Institute [CFNI].  I believe it will be a rewarding experience.  I also think that it is going to be hilarious.  CFNI [or more accurately the people there] will become a major source of inspiration and content for PN.

Just this evening I was finishing up my application and I read that one of the standards I have to adhere

Posts at 1am are a bad idea

This is an update for my post titled “Economic Recession and the Effects on Dating”

At 1am my thoughts are no longer coherent.

Last night I thought I was writing one of my best entries in a while, it was clever, witty, a little personal, but everyone could relate.  I thought it was literary gold [or at least silver].

But this morning the post received a comment saying that none of it made sense.  This caused me to read over

This evening I went out.  I had a very nice time.

A group of 4 [Austin B., Jenni H., Lauren C., and myself] went to dinner and a movie.  We ate at Olive Garden and then saw Get Smart at AMC 30.  Afterwards we came back to my house and watched another movie called I’m Reed Fish.  It was pretty good.

As the evening concluded I noticed that my evening out was very different then others’.

Road Trip

In preparation for LTUL’s trip to Bushnel, Illinois for Cornerstone I am thinking about going on a road trip of my own.  However, I might be whistling a different tune when I get back from the 14+hr drive.

Zach, Juddson, and I all want to go on a road trip before school starts in the fall.  We don’t know where to go though.  Some ideas we through out:

  • Colorado [to go mountain biking]
  • Florida [for the beach]
  • White Sands, New Mexico [for

I’m not sure when I took this picture

Today after work I met Juddson and Nate-James at starbucks. We didn’t order anything, we just needed a central rendevous point. After that Nathan went to prep the fire works stand and Juddson and I went to circuit city and best buy to look at car speakers. (3 of Juddson’s 4 door speakers are blown).

We ate dinner and

Multislacking can be defined as “Doing multiple slacker-esque things concurrently”

When used in a sentence it looks something like this:

“I’m the king of multislacking. I spend hours a day surfing the ‘net, watching random TV shows, and eating week-old pizza.”
This isn’t a quote from me, but rather UrbanDictionary.com [some content may not be suitable for children under 13].   Just saying.

Rap was spelt without a w on purpose.  Its a pun.

It was on Saturday,
That I hit the hay,
Until about 9,
When I got on-line,
I checked my RSS feeds,
then trimmed the weeds,
called up my boyz,
made some noise,
sayin’ ‘holla-holla’

We went out to G-town,
And hit up Bargain Town,
Relaxed on the couches,
Nothing rhymes with couches,
Checked out apartments,
and living arrangements,
for Alan ‘A-Town’ Jensen,
And Nate-James,

That night we got a red box,
but did not watch it on the magnavox,

New Design

Some of you may be shocked by the new design.  Other’s of you will appreciate it, as it is more easily navigated.

It took me a while to decide that I no longer liked the “modicious” theme [as it was called].  But have now snugly settled on a white “Hemingway” theme.

I had been looking to switch for a while now and was finally pushed into making the plunge after viewing the blog for the

I need to preface this by explaining that I work 2 jobs.  1) CCC/GLK/LTUL - There I work on the web sites, as well as administrative stuff.  2) I work as a freelance Graphic Designer/Web Developer.

Today I was at work [CCC/GLK/LTUL].  I was working really hard.  But after about 7 hours I was ready to do something else.  I

For some this may not be as big of a deal.

To others I would like to apologize.  I haven’t blogged for two days.  It wasn’t because I didn’t want to, nor was it because I got too busy, it was more for your sake.  It felt like nothing really exciting had happened, which doesn’t usually stop me from writing about the trivial, but for the last two days I really wanted to wait for something

Remember that tight little Jetta I had pictured up here just the other day? I bought it today. I was pretty excited to get it, but the process took all day. I suppose it didn’t help that the car was being sold in Arlington. But you know how that goes.

I’ll post some better pictures tomorrow.

Happy Father’s Day

If you are the father of a child, I salute you.

With that said, you must understand that a father to me is much more than just a sperm donor.  No, a father is the man who teaches you how to play sports, takes you camping and fishing, teaches you how to do manly things [like shaving one's beard], teaches you how to drive, and shows

I’m thinking VW.  I’m thinking Jetta. A 1.8 liter Turbo, Wolfsburg edition.

Some people have said that making loop holes like that is considered cheating.  But my reply to that is, “I made up this tennis-everyday-thing so I can make up my own bogus rules”.

Also, on a separate note:  When there is only one court and 12 people [6 teams] the winner of each set should

I have a small arsenal of blurbs to build off of in case of such a time, but this evening none of them really seem to be fitting.  Except one.

Sometimes when I’m at work or school if I think of something that would be good to blog about I’ll write it down so I don’t forget [there's a topic in and of itself].  In one of my entries,

I’ll repeat myself, “…I needed to shave”.

I have been working on a mustache for over 13 weeks.  Its kind of a big deal.  Everyone at school knew about my mustache and how awesome it was.  Most kids were
