Making some hot records.
I woke up this morning to my phone ringing. This isn’t completely unusual because my alarm tone is the same as my ring tone. However, when I went to turn off my “alarm” which is my phone, I realized my boy Nate-James was ‘blowing up my phone’. I answered with slurred speech and heavy eyes [because I was asleep, not because I was intoxicated]. Nathan asked me if I wanted to go out to the studio with him. I said sure and he told me he’d pick me up in 5 minutes.
I jumped out of bed, got dressed, cepillarse mis dientes*, my mom made me some toast and then I rolled with my dog out to G-town [Garland]. There we met up with Paul from Prophet Vibe records.
Nathan did most of the ‘spitting’ because they were his songs, and his record, but he let me get on and do some back track ad-libs. I had fun and learned a lot.
