I received a comment today on PN regarding last month’s post entitiled “Weekend Rap*-UP”. My original intentions with the post were for it to become a weekly segment where I rapped a summary of my weekend. Unfortunately I forgot all about it before the next weekend rolled around. But now, thanks to the lovely comment, I feel re-inspired and will now rap-up my weekend:
5:30am on friday morning,
I left Royce City despite a fierce warning,
“You’re too tired to drive,”
I looked half alive,
Waffles for Brett and Waffles for Stephen,
I still felt like I should’ve been sleepin’,
Left from there to go to work,
I worked all day with a smerk,
at 3:30 I said, “Adios”,
packed my bag and hit the dows’ ["doors" mispronounced],
Met at the church around 4:40,
to go spend the weekend with the Lordy,
Drove out to the Smiths’ lake house,
Spent more time in the lake then the house,
Came back on saturday to see my mom and dad,
They had been in Mexico and said the weather wasn’t bad,
Sunday came,
But there was no football game,
Just some Chinese buffet,
And a relaxing day,
Media meeting was lonely,
There was no one but me, only,
This evening will be fun,
I’m planning a week in the sun.

It’s spelled “smirk”, but i won’t keep it against you. I would love to hear that recorded, and my opinion counts as at least twenty. So you should be set.

Mom is right. A-town doesn’t know what he’s talking about. RECORD IT! you know i’m just like you… i put my pants on one leg at a time like everybody else… except after my pants are on i like to make Gold records.
