YFN 5

This is my 5th and final post regarding YFN 2008.

The week long camp was a success.  The food was sub-par but I think more people go for the spiritual atmosphere then the cafeteria food.  So its forgivable.  China won.  For those of you that have never been I’ll explain:  Upon arrival, campers are split into 12 “nations” [teams] and they compete during the afternoon in different games to create a spirit of camaraderie.  The nation/team that won this week was China.  Way to go Seth.

I’m back home now, and it feels good.  But I will be leaving again in 40 some-odd hours.  I’ll be on my way to Oklahoma with a bus full of little kids.  I’m sure the Lord will teach me all about patience and compassion as I spend a week with 100′s of kids.

Here are some pictures of YFN:

P.S. I saw that I had 4 visits from Berlin, Germany.  If you’re from out-of-town drop me a comment and tell me where you are from.  Same goes for people in Downingtown, Penn.

  1. Hey, I live in Parkesburg, PA. My IP address must be registered in Downingtown, it’s like 8 miles away. I go to CFNI and learned about your blog through Juddson and Zach. I’m an avid reader and subscriber through bloglines. I’m just home for the summer and will be back to finish out my final semester with them this fall. Not sure who the Germans are though.

  2. I knew China could do it.
