Today is my lucky day.
As I entered the cafeteria during lunch time this afternoon I had no idea what was in store for me. The lady at the front kindly took my lunch number and then permitted me to pass onto what would become the single luckiest moment of my day. It was the tray and silverware selection stand, and waiting for me there was a single green tray.
For those that don’t know, to receive a green tray (without cheating) is the best sign of luck. And if you are a hard core Christian conservative who doesn’t believe in luck, I’ll rephrase it for you: to receive a green tray (without cheating) the Lord and all his angels will smile upon you.
So yeah, it was kind of a big deal.
