Traffic

I was stopped so long I had to pee next to my car!

I’ll explain from the beggining: I was working in Rockwall and being so close to my family (aka: Emily’s cooking) I decided to go home for dinner. After eating I planned to back to office and work till about 8 (it was currently 7:18). At 7:25 I came to a complete stop behind a number of other cars on Interstate 30 west, just before 205 (but after the exit). I could see up ahead (about 1/8th of a mile) that there was an accident, fire, and smoke. Thus began my worst traffic exerience ever.

There were too many people behind me to reverse to the last exit and get off, I was in a construction area and wasn’t able to just drive through the median to go around, I and about 75 other people had no choice but to just sit and wait. I passed the time with my phone: txting, emailing, calling, and playing Cube Runner. It had been over 1.5 hours at this poiny and there was no telling how much longer it would be. I needed to go to the bathroom. Night had fallen and being covered by darkness I felt that I would be able to relieve myself without exposing myself. With that thought, I stepped out of my car and with the door open I positioned myself just so and took care of business.

All went well, I felt better and no one said anything. The accident was finally cleared and traffic was released to go at 9:35pm. Over two hours after I stopped.

I made it back to school a little late due in part to that hold up.

  2. Andrew, Don’t you know it’s illegal to relieve yourself in public? Just ask Nick! I did see this traffic and was glad I was going the other way! Sorry you got stuck in it!

  3. Oh, my my my! Kind of reminds me of Two Weeks Notice when they pay to use an RV’s toilet…
