I’m not a bad person I promise, but last night was the second time in two days that someone called the police regarding me or the group I was with.

Anthony M. and Taylor H. lead a small group at my house. It consists of mostly high schoolers of driving age. When I arrived home last night there was still a number of people there, and consequently a number of cars in the drive. I didn’t want to block anyone in so I pulled through my circle drive and went across the street and parked in front of a house there. I got out, grabbed my back pack and headed across the street.

The gentleman who lived at the house in front of which I parked was out on his porch. I didn’t bother to wave or say anything because I don’t know him.

I walked in my house and a short while later the small group was gone and Juddson was on his way over. When he arrived he said that there were a lot of cops going up and down 549.

I, jokingly, suggested that they were called out because I suspiciously parked my car in front of a house across the street and then took off on foot. Juddson asked if I should go move it. But I didn’t think that was actually the case so I left it.

No more than 5 minutes later there was a knock at the door. My dad answered, and from my bedroom I could hear him talking to a police officer assuring him that the person spotted was me (his son) and that the car was mine also.

I was really surprised that parking across the street has caused that much commotion. When I walked outside to go get my car I realized that it was even bigger than I thought. There were 3 police cars and a county sheriff in my driveway.

I guess there isn’t a lot crime in Rockwall if they sent that many cars out for a parked car. But I suppose it’s better to be safe than sorry.
