Last night the Boles Hornets stung the Collinsville Pirates at the Division playoffs.
The final score was 44-27 and the temperature felt like it was somewhere in between those numbers.
As it turned out, a cold front was set to blow in yesterday evening. Lauren and I went to the game, but we failed to plan for the arctic conditions [her in a dress and myself in a light sweater] that would accompany the fast-paced razzle-dazzle game that is football.
I still had a great time though. A portion of LakeShore staff was there and during the second quarter we joined them because it was warmer and they had hot chocolate and warm pumpkin bread [Thanks Mrs. Denise]—and because we enjoy their company.
Kati Howard led the cheerleading squad in an exquisite cheer routine. Clothed in glitter, the shimmering ladies helped keep that Boles spirit burning—despite frigid weather conditions.
Project Nemeth Play of the Day goes to:
The Collinsville Pirates kick off to the Boles Hornets. The kicker tripped just inches from the ball, another team-mate then kicked the ball while the kicker was down. Chaos ensued.
