Last month more than 1000 positions were eliminated in the Dallas Independent School District. This morning I saw an advertisement on the side of a semi encouraging people to seek employment opportunities in the Dallas School District.
I sure hope that if DISD had to cut over 1000 positions [375 of which were classroom teachers; 3% of the teachers in the district] in an attempt to save almost $30 million, I sure hope that they cancelled their “help wanted” ads.
That’s ridiculous.
