In light of yesterday’s post I bring you this insight to the inner-workings of my mind:
“I’m 19. I go to school and work a couple part time jobs. But I can arrange to miss both of those relatively easy. Why haven’t I gone traveling yet?”
The thought continued as I remembered that I’m not really strapped down to anything. There isn’t really anything to keep me from taking a short trip somewhere. I’m not married with kids, I’m not even in a serious relationship. I have a job that pays pretty well, so if I play my cards right I could afford the trip. And, being 19, I have the best sense of adventure—and appreciation for adventure—than I will during any other time in my life.
The time is perfect.
Where should I go?

On a road trip with your small group (especially your lovely 11-year-olds). Or on a cruise with our seniors for our senior trip.

Boston, MA. I’m from outside of Philadelphia and finally trekked up there this summer and it is ridiculously beautiful. It might be a little cold there now though.

I would also suggest Boston, simply because i’ve always wanted to go there.
But an even better idea is Ireland. Go next fall and visit me in Dundrum. If things go right, I’ll be there for a semester and on weekends I’ll be visiting a friend at Oxford.

air fares, except around the holidays, are pretty cheap right now. you could fly to paris or frankford for $300 to $400. Bringing a friend would be a great idea (adventures are best shared)!

To bad you weren’t seperated from your parents and were on a journey to find them or roadtripping across the country to stop your childhood love from getting married. That would be an awesome road trip.

Maybe I’ll tell Pastor Tim. If you wanna go on a cruise with some seniors, you could go on the same one as us. I don’t think I can get you any student council funding, though.
