Leadership Party

Paradigm has an annual Christmas party for the leadership team.  Its always a blast.

This year for a gift exchange we played “Yankee Swap”.  This is a game where everyone is ordered by number [randomly selected] then beginning with the first person they pick a gift and open it.  The next person to go either chooses to steal their gift or open a new one.  Gifts can be stolen up to 3x before they are frozen.  The game is over when everyone has a gift.

Zach and I played the system and walked away with stuff for our apartment.  The way it went down was we both bought things we needed for the apartment that we knew would be less likely to be stolen.  Zach got a cutting board and I got a shower curtain.  We left last evening with each other’s gift.  Some might think that this ruins the “Christmas Spirit” but it saves money and ensures that we get what we need for the apartment.

Aaron Money earned the most laughs during his involvement in Yankee Swap, its too much to go into on the blog, but you should definitely ask him about how he almost got stuck with Burt’s Bees and how he finally won.

  3. Kati was stolen from alot. One tiime I feel was accidently my fault :( I felt like a little bad. But not pour Adam bc yes he got londons we’ll say “creative” gift but once the game ended He was gifted with the poker chips that were stolen from him. So long story short he walked away with what he wanted.
