Cornish Pasty

I made Cornish Pasty tonight for dinner.

For those of you that are less cultured then myself [aka: your sister isn't a chef] you might never have seen “Cornish Pasty’s” before.  If that is the case, then I send my sincerest regards, because well—to be frank—they are delicious.  And so very delicious.

Being out on my own I’m trying to cook different things then the typical bachelor meals of Ramen or hot dogs.  Tonight I cooked a case of cornish pasties [alliteration]. I think they turned out awesome.  I am biased.

Now, I don’t know why I wikipedia-ed “Cornish Pasty”, but I did.  And I read about a quarter of the way down to the sub heading, “Origins”  it was there that I read this interesting tid-bit:

“The origins of the pasty are largely unknown. It is generally accepted that the pasty (as we know it today), originated from Cornwall, although recent documentary discoveries have caused some fierce debate on those origins”

“Fierce Debate”?  Really?!?  Do people actually argue fiercely about which region the Pasty originated from?  That’s just silly.
