Last night was Boles last basketball game of the year. Nate-James and I made the long voyage out to Quinlan from Dallas.
The game was good. I say “good” because I got excited watching it. I felt apart of the team and I felt the pride of the school (despite the fact that I didn’t attend there). Additionally, the team played well together in the second half. They had lost 3 players and didn’t have anyone to substitute, bit despite their poor circumstances they still rallied together to work fluidly as one body.
According to the scoreboard the game was a disappointing loss. But if you ask me I think the Boles boys were winners if for the only reason that they responded “sportsmen like” to the poor calls that the refs were making.
