This afternoon I made two fish sandwiches. Zach made a PB&J. When he was getting his slices of bread out he noticed some mold on the edge [I didn't think to check mine before I ate it]. This was reason for me to examine the rest of the loaf, and sure enough there was other mold spots beginning to spawn. I didn’t have time to tackle it then and there because I needed to be at work, but I swore a vow to avenge my sweet Sarah Lee loaf.
When I got home this evening priority one was to set up my computer for tonight’s creative endeavors [video editing/web design/development]. However, priority two was to remedy the bread situation. I took out all the slices and asked Juddson, “What can I make with half a loaf of bread?”
My idea was to cut out the moldy spots and use the good bread before it all went bad.
Juddson suggested Garlic Bread. It was a solid suggestion, but we don’t have any garlic. I figured I could just substitute onions, and I did. But as I was about to put the pan of onion bread in the oven I realized that I didn’t really want to just eat 6 pieces of bread for dinner. I needed some sort of meat, otherwise it would just feel like I was eating way too much toast.
I put a can of tuna on the bread and then popped it in the oven [our oven has lambo-doors. Its awesome]. I let it cook until it was golden brown. Removed it, and ate it.
It wasn’t as bad as you’re thinking, but it also wasn’t as good as I was hoping.
But you know how that goes,

That’s potentially gross.

That actually sounds pretty gross and that says a lot coming from the girl who eats tuna straight out of the can.
