Last night some friends from CFNI came over to hang out. The loose and ever-changing group of us have started having TV nights, in which they come over and watch a TV show coupled with another activity. The show has been Lie To Me. The activity has been different each time. Last week was a dance party/rave. This week we baked cookies.
My mom had given me a gift bag with cookie mix in it. While we were waiting to start the show I mentioned to the girls that we could bake cookies. They jumped at the opportunity and the night was filled with festive baking.
The only downside to the evening was that the directions were a bit miss-leading. ”Bake at 450 for 7-9 min.” We baked for 8 minutes and got burnt cookies. We only put the next batch in there for 6-7 min [its hard to tell with the old school timers] and our cookies were brown and smoking.
Later that night people complained of upset stomaches. We should have just ate the dough like Cameron had suggested.

P.S. Did I mention that the gift set came with a Christmas tree cookie cutter? Because it did.
Did you use the cutter? “Cutter” is my nickname among the rugrats at Poetry.
