Our vacuum cleaner is haunted.
Or perhaps it just longs to be used?
The other night I was watching Hulu [the act formerly known as watching TV] when I heard a strange noise. vvvrrrrrreeeeerrrrrrrrhhhhhh. I thought it was coming from the hallway. It sounded a lot like a vacuum cleaner, and so I assumed it was the cleaning people cleaning the hallway carpets.
About 30 minutes later I heard the noise again. I thought it strange that the cleaning people would vacuum the same area twice, but I didn’t complain or investigate since it was out in the hall. However, the next day I was near the door when the noise sounded again: vvvrrrrreeeeerrrrhhhhh. I noticed this time that it wasn’t coming from the hallway, but rather from our closet!
I suspect it was the vacuum cleaner longing to be used since our floors had long since been vacuumed.
Today, however, Juddson vacuumed the apartment. And at the time of the writing of this blog post, I have yet to hear the haunting sound.

Weird noises can also be a sign of a broken vacuum.
