Happy Birthday Mom Lindsay

Happy Birthday Mom Lindsay

Today at school we spent a good part of the day celebrating CFNI’s co-founder and mother figure Freda “Mom” Lindsay’s birthday.  We had a blast dancing around like David and listening to a violinist play traditional Jewish worship. As you could guess, CFNI birthdays are like nothing you’ve ever seen.

We still had classes though, and those were pretty normal.  But the before and after were extra-ordinary. During our 11 o’clock hour they invited all the international students up one nation at a time to have their picture taken with “Mom”.  None of the Americans got to go up [with the possible exception of Ezra.  There's fierce debate as to whether or not he's international [I'm told he grew up in Southlake, TX].

After school I had lunch with Pstr. Nick.  The food and fellowship was wonderful. I mentioned to him my newest idea for a kick-awesome discipleship program that I’m going to initiate this summer. He liked it, but then again, who wouldn’t?!?

Tonight I’m hoping to go to the “Taste of the Nations” hosted at CFNI. And I say “hoping” because Trish is going to give me the heads up as to whether or not its worthing driving over for. The alternative is good old american cheese burger, so we’ll see what happens.

Don’t forget to hop on the Twitter bandwagon.  You can start right now by txting “follow nemeth” to 40404.  Simple as that.

  1. Haha fierce debate haha so true…. I am willing to debate it if he is a international student or not. What I will choose to say to Ezra would be “Silly boy trix are for kids”….

And I will have everyone to know I did my best to scope it out for @Nemeth but I was sad to inform him that “Taste of the nations” was not set up to be an event in the Christian Center. For all who it may concern a little birdie told me that it maybe set up in the student center on CFNI campus.
