PSA Stranger Danger

It has come to my attention that many of you like to pass the time at local coffee shops like Starbucks.  This is a chic way to relax, study, mingle, or just shoot the breeze.  However, allow me to take a moment to warn you of the potential dangers of congregating in public areas.

Many of you will understand that its safer to socialize in the privacy and security of your own home, but I think many of you will also agree that it just isn’t as fun.  It is for that reason that coffee shops are the big hang out spot right now.  But that “fun” comes at a cost.

Recently I’ve discovered that there is a “creeper” frequenting the coffee shop that I most commonly visit.  At first I wasn’t alarmed because I didn’t even realize how often he visited the establishment.  Then after I did notice that he was there more often than most people I began to notice other characteristics of a “creeper”.  It was little things like he lives in a van behind Chili’s, or that he sits in the corner so that he can watch the whole coffee shop.  Another sign that he may be a creeper is that a background check was performed on him which revealed a rap sheet longer than a Tall-T.  Personal encounters from a number of sources describe him using a familiar “sales pitch” to gain personal information and compassion.

I highly recommend exercising caution when encountering strangers.  And regardless of your age, don’t be ashamed to yell “Stranger Danger” if a creeper comes at you.

  4. I will proceed with caution!!! Thank you for the warning :0)… And I am also grateful that I don’t have to many creepsters come into my cafe that I can’t handle, but I will yell “stranger danger” when or if needed.
