Blender

The Blender that I purchased from GoodWill had a crack in it and leaked all over the place. I definitely took that back and got my money credited back to my card. However, with all that accomplished I still was in need of a blender, fortunately Kohls happened to be having a sale on almost everything [including blenders]…

This Hamilton Beach model that you currently see before you happens to be one of their top-of-the-line.  Its got 600 watts of blending power, a thick glass [not plastic] pitcher, 10 speeds for the perfect type of blend, and lastly a special “Ice Crusher” function [perfect for making slushies or snow cones.

The only down side is that it has a real short cord.  I imagine the manufacture assumes you’ll be using this on your kitchen counter close to a plug, but what about the quiet minority of users that need to be more distant from an outlet?

To “break-in” my new blender the other night I made a smoothie.  It turned out ok, but it would have been better if I had more stuff to blend.  I had already put in my ice and bananas when I realized I didn’t have any other fruit.  I added a little bit of milk and a squirt of lemon juice, but it really just tasted like a frozen banana. It blended real nice though.

  1. That is quite the post. I am glad that you got a good blender. Next time you might want to have more fruit in your smoothie.

  4. You could’ve just bought the part that was cracked from the manufacturer sometimes things like that are still under warranty and you can get it for free.

  5. If you find yourself stuck with only bananas again.
bananas + Vanilla + sugar + milk or cream = real good smoothie.

  7. I should use a blender to make shakes instead of a spoon. I don’t know what I’ve been thinking!

I still owe a thousand for Kenya.
