Yesterday was Cinco De Mayo [translated as the "5th of May"]. Its a holiday celebrated mostly in America and a particular state of Mexico. The holiday originally serves to commemorate a battle between France and Mexico, but America celebrates it in a way to remember Hispanic heritage and culture.
I’m a big fan of culture, and an even bigger fan of parties. With that said, it shouldn’t surprise you to read that i threw a killer Cinco De Mayo party. We had 26 confirmed guests, with a couple of extras popping in here and there. I don’t know how we did it, but we managed to pack all those people into my modest sized two bedroom apartment.
The Fiesta was complete with all sorts of “mexican” food: tacos [both chicken and beef], roasted corn, jalapeño poppers, assorted chips and dips, and even pizza. And as expected [because no Cinco De Mayo festival is complete without it] we had [virgin] margaritas, which is really just like a lemonade slushy—which is delicious nonetheless.
The party raged on until those with curfew were required to leave. Off campus CFNI students stayed until about midnight, and a select lot of guys spent the night, but none of us made it to bed until 2:30 this morning.
Thanks to everyone that came by, Mexico would be proud.

Sorry I couldn’t make it. Cinco de Mayo only comes around on the weekend so many times a year, and I have school.
