Cassie isn’t my mother. Some of you may have been expecting a picture of my mother and I. Instead I posted a picture of Cassie and I [and Emily's eye if you look closely] because its the only picture I took today.
Since today was Mothers’ Day, my church [LakeShore Church] wanted to honor the single mothers of the community, and in doing so they hosted a wonderful lunch for the precious women. I was one of the many youth that volunteered/was recruited to help serve the event. I helped maintain the water/tea levels of glasses as well as stand around looking good.
This was hugely important because I was specifically asked to dress-up for the event, so I felt it equally important to show off my “dress-up” outfit. I even got a couple compliments on it.
Afterwards Emily made lunch for my mom while I made unnecessary trips to Wal-Mart. When we had finished lunch we [my family] gave my mom her Mother’s Day gift: A hammock. I think she’s really going to like it.
What did you get your mom for mother’s day?

Well, to be honest, I didn’t see my mother for Mother’s Day at all. I helped my dad get her a book she wanted, though.
