I’m going out of town this weekend, and I’m driving a Uhaul to get there [its 17ft. long]. So that I could get started on my journey a little quicker I drove the truck to work so I could leave straight from there. Driving down the road seemed easy enough, but parking was intense. I’ve got another picture in here from a different angle, it might show my parking job a little better…
Here, take a look at this picture:

I had the truck backed up just inches to that fence/cement post and it still was sticking way out in the front. But I guess typical parking garages don’t cater to 17′ moving trucks. Go figure.
I’m kind of excited about driving this, I’ve never driven such a big vehicle. Let’s pray for safety and no accidents.
Also, random fact: You only have to be 18 years old to rent a Uhaul, while typical rent-a-car centers require you to be 21. I thought that was backwards. Its like, “Oh, you can drive this massive truck because I don’t trust you with a mid sized sedan [similar to what you've been driving for a year] lets let you try this boat [that you aren't accustomed to].” Great idea guys. Real good.
I’ll head out this afternoon and won’t be able to blog much until I get back Sunday night. However, if you want to follow everything that’s happening I’ll do my best to twitter.
