Last night was Hiro’s [the Japanese foreign exchange student] birthday and his last night with Paradigm. Quick side note: he has a going away party on Friday out in Quinlan, you should definitely go. Like I was saying, since it was his Bday and his last night with us we went out after church to celebrate the time he’s been with us. And of course, since he’s from Japan, we went out for sushi at SushiYamma…
The experience began when we tried to book a table for 18. The entire restaurant looked to only seat about 30 and they were pretty full. Needless to say we had to break up the party a little. I don’t think it put a damper on anything though, everyone still had a blast.
Things got pretty exciting when Adam started encouraging people to eat entire globs of wasabi. Shayna didn’t quite make it, but Ashley got the whole thing down. Both of them hated it afterwards. [For those that don't know, wasabi is crazy hot.]
Also, a bunch of us got the Bento Box which is what this place is known for. It was good, especially because it had such a variety of different things to try. But I think next time I’m just going to get a couple of regular sushi rolls.
