I went and saw Transformers 2 last night.
It was pretty tight. There was tons of action sequences, and all the cars look amazing. But it was kind of long [2:45]. All the CGI looked good, I'm curious though, if I look back in 15 years will I think its bad? But can it really get better? Everything looked so real.
I give it a 4 out 5 stars.

Last night LakeShore hosted its annual Celebrate Freedom Festival, complete with fireworks display.
It was pretty tight, but super hot. And not like, "Oh dang, that new Kia is hawt!" No, it was more like, "I'm drowning in my own sweat. This is ridiculous."

The company I work for [BG Development] develops lakefront communities, one of which is in East Texas. I go out there often to help out with sales and leads and other realtor jargon.
This weekend we are having our big Phase III Grand Opening Sale. Because of the nature of the event a lot of prep and work needed to be done. So early this morning

Last night I went by CFNI in time for YFN's evening service. Like anyone would expect it was the rizzle-dizzle.
I mean, aside from the awesome stage design, the incredible graphics, the funny videos, the live performances, and the shear magnitude of 800 young people worshipping God together, YFN is still out of this world.

Last night Paradigm had a summer kick off party. It was tight and off the chain and all those other hip slang terms.
We had guest worshiper Elizabeth Clark come in and do her thing [which was awesome] and then we all went outside and enjoyed some grilled burgers and hot dogs and played some games. I didn't get a chance to play red-neck golf but I wanted to...

You can't see them very well in this picture, but behind all that cotton is some red swollen lumps.
As one could almost expect, last weekend when I was out stomping around the boonies I got jumped by some chiggers. Now they are under my skin eating me alive. Its a pretty disturbing concept.

Lately, when I get any free time I like to run up to the hospital to see Richard.
He's been moved down to 7th floor, which means he is no longer in ICU. It also means there are less visitor restrictions. The nurses aren't as good but its definitely less stress full, and it shows the improvement that Richard is making.

This weekend myself and a small group of people went "camping" out at Juddson's uncle's house. It was too hot to do anything outside so we stayed inside in the A/C most of the time.
We did however venture out a couple of times to swim in the pond. But we later learned that swimming in the pond was pretty gross and not even the locals would do that...

I’m writing this from a demo computer in the Apple store.
I’m about to buy my iPhone.
The opened the store up a little early for the release.
Should be fun.

Did I ever show you guys this picture?
I can’t remember if I have or not. Regardless, there are geese at my apartment. They live in the back yard, just beyond the pond.

Monday began the first week of YFN.
Last night I zipped on down there after visiting Richard in the hospital. I didn't get to sit in on any of the service but I did get to see some friends afterwards.
Everyone is so excited for their nation and/or other respective duties...

Weekend Rap-Ups are my way of giving back to the community. You see, now that I live in the urban city of Dallas, I feel more obliged to reach out to the under privileged inner-city children. I choose to do so with these melodic flows.
Also, I'm a killer rapper so I just do this for fun.

This weekend my job called me out to East Texas.
The company I work for has property out there for sale and it needs to be shown to potential buyers. One of the lots has a house on it that I also show. I’m kind of like a real estate agent.
While there I swam in the lake. There was a dock that you could

Take a look at how much coast line Florida is stealing from Alabama.
And Louisiana isn’t so innocent either, look what they’re doing to Mississippi.
If I was Obama [or any US President] I would totally make Florida and Louisiana pay back 7 fold for what they took.

I sold my iPhone yesterday.
I didn't realize it until later that night that I also sold the only camera I own.
Now I'm going to have to get creative to find a way to put pictures on my blog without a camera.
This should be interesting, or if I get to lazy busy it will be pretty bland with nothing but text.
We'll see.

UPDATE: You can now follow Richard's progress at http://caringbridge.com/visit/richardvance
Richard is in ICU at Children's hospital in Dallas.
I went and saw him yesterday. He was lightly sedated and had just finished a blood plasma spinning session. That's where they take out his blood and put it through a machine that takes out his plasma and puts better plasma in [or so I understand]. He has been in ICU [at the time of writing this] for almost 53 hours, most of which he's been on a breathing machine.

Everyone loves a good rap song. And what better basis for a rap song than the key events of my weekend. That's right, in this weekly segment entitled "Weekend Rap-Up" I summarize the happenings of my Friday-Sunday. Sometimes its difficult [as the reader] to feel the same rhythm that I do as I write these, but do your best and if all else fails just read it like poetry...

P-A-R-T-Y? Because we have to.
This is a picture of everyone having fun. I know I went into the details of the party a little in the last post but I had an extra picture and thought everyone would appreciate a more extensive coverage of the event.

Saturday morning at Lakepoint church was the commencement ceremony for Rockwall High School's graduation. It was an elegant program with class and grace. No one tripped on the stage, and no one made any obscene gestures.
My sister Emily graduated with the class of 2009. She graduated a year early. We are all very proud of her accomplishments as a high school graduate.

Thursday night dance parties are awesome. Having to work early on the Friday following a Thursday night dance party, not awesome.
Last night the Saroni residence hosted a kick-awesome V-neck themed dance party. The guys setting everything up went all out. There was a disco light, laser light, other colored dancing lights, glow sticks, and a fog machine. Not to mention they made a dance floor in their living room. Yeah, they tore up the carpet so that people could dance better—and its a good thing they did because we were dancing so awesome it would have set the carpet on fire...

The other day Trish Key brought over her hot new civic, Ben, Juddson, and myself all went down to take a look at it. While we were giving it a good once-over Ben noticed something lying in the grass. He walked over to it and announced it as a dead cat.
Juddson took a look at it but didn't bother to get too close. Ben got closer and made a noise to see if the presumably dead cat would stir. It reared its head and gave out a moan...

On Sunday afternoon Angela "Mija" Jensen had a graduation party. There was a number of close friends and family in attendance. Mrs. Elizabeth [as usual] went out of her way to provide some of the most delicious food.
The party itself was decorated beautifully with fun people and sundresses. We all congregated outside under the shade of some trees. Barefoot we walked around enjoying each other's company...
3's company, 4's a crowd... 7 must be gang affiliated.
Or at least that's what the Harbor in Rockwall assumes when you're out after midnight. Needless to say we didn't stay there long.
But what else does a group of friends do late on a friday night? We've exhausted walking around Wal-Mart late at night in years past, we no longer want to just play video games all night, going to bed at 11pm sounds almost lame, I guess the only other option is a pool party...
Friday night was Hiro's going away party. It was a great party. Everyone there was happy to have grown so close to our foreign friend and at the same time sad that he was leaving. A couple people had red/watery eyes throughout the night.
I'm not wanting to steal any of the spotlight from Hiro, but as you can see in the picture I invented a "pocket-cup" so I could drink without hands. Its like the most convenient thing ever. Also you need is a shirt [or a vest] with a pocket, a cup, and some straws...
