Yesterday was a really good day. It reminded me of Pstr. Adam McCain's Personal Discipleship class in which we learned about the importance of sabbath.

Sabbath, contrary to popular belief, isn't as religious as most people make it out to be. Its all about relaxing. Most people work too much [which is a crazy thought to hear come from one such as myself] but its true. We were made to have one day a week in which we relax, and that's just what I did yesterday...

Last night was the party for Jazz and Ashley's 21st birthday.

It was off the chain 80's. Almost everyone was dressed up super fly. I grilled some burgers and the kids did fake jell-o-shots.

I got down as the "dad" of the group...

Some time ago a few of my friends and I went to a Portrait Studio to have our "Family Portrait" done.

I think it turned out great.

I like to do most of my own maintenance on my cars. The feel of oil and grease under my nails is a nice change from my typical 9-5/button-down-and-khakis. Unfortunately, some of these newer cars are little bit trickier than what I'm used to...

Wednesday night Paradigm had a lock-out.  Its like a lock-in, but instead of staying inside one place we leave and go all over the metroplex.

Its totally awesome, but it really takes it out of me.  I still haven’t fully recovered from the lack of sleep.

Apparently, Wal-Mart and I have very different definitions of "party".

I was in the grocery store the other day when I picked up this package. Its a box of pre-cut carrots and celery, but these aren't regular vegetables—these are party vegetables. Or at least that's what it says on the box.

I was out on the boat with Nate-James, Jordan, and Jill when these officers from the TPWD pulled along side and shouted, "Prepare to be boarded!" [they didn't really say that, but I wish they had.]. They were just doing a routine stop to make sure we had everything we needed to be out on the water. Unfortunately, as it would turn out, we didn't...

Something caught my eye the other day. I think it was these three awesome shirts.

I saw them online as I was browsing through the interwebs.

I was emailed saying that my orders have shipped, but now I have to sit and wait.

AKA: Media Shower [if you say it wrong]

Last night after youth, a small group of us hung around to watch the 2nd night of the Perseid Meteor shower.

The group of us all piled onto Juddson's jeep and trekked out into the backwoods to find a dark spot so that none of the city lights would affect our view...

This weekend Nathan, Lauren, and I went to the lake house. We had a really good time, Nathan and Lauren both learned how to wakeboard.

I also had some down time while I waited for people to show up so I washed and waxed my car. It looks real shiny now.

This is two days late, but I'm not sure it will matter because I don't think Lauren R. is a PN reader. No matter though, I and the rest of the team [my computer?] here at PN wish Lauren the happiest of birthdays....

This weekend myself and some guys went to Austin, TX.

With me was Austin, Richard, Jacob, and Adam. We had a blast down in the capital city [Texas Town]. We went to the Emery show and afterwards got some pizza. We checked into our room around midnight and fell asleep shortly after that. The next morning we woke up and began our assault on Austin [the city]...
