Yesterday was a really good day. It reminded me of Pstr. Adam McCain’s Personal Discipleship class in which we learned about the importance of sabbath.
Sabbath, contrary to popular belief, isn’t as religious as most people make it out to be. Its all about relaxing. Most people work too much [which is a crazy thought to hear come from one such as myself] but its true. We were made to have one day a week in which we relax, and that’s just what I did yesterday.
However, my idea of relaxing was actually more active then most. I woke up early Sunday morning and before church went for a jog. After church I went to the park with some friends and after reclining in the grass for a little while we played catch and eventually Jackpot. Then I had a great time hanging out with my small group. And once that was over I went to play volleyball with the Deep.
It was great to relax with friends and let my mind slow for a day. The only downside is that I think I pulled some muscles in my shoulders/back. Regardless, it was totally worth it.
