This is two days late, but I’m not sure it will matter because I don’t think Lauren R. is a PN reader. No matter though, I and the rest of the team [my computer?] here at PN wish Lauren the happiest of birthdays.
To celebrate her birth, on Wednesday, a group of us went out to AppleBees for 4th meal after service. A big hit at the ‘bees on late nights is there 1/2 off appetizer. Chad and I, who happened to be seated together both enjoyed some tasty starters, that is, until we saw an ad for the Mile High Something-Or-Another [I don't actually remember the name].
We decided to split the tasty desert and I’m so glad we did. About two bites into it I had to put down my spoon and rest because I could feel all the sugar coursing through my veins.
It difficult to see in this photo, but the desert was as tall as a dinner spoon, as wide as the plate, and as rich as a sultan. There was a billion different tastes that could only be described as, “OMG This desert is crazy!”
As much as I liked it, I bad talked the desert a little later calling it, “Diabetes on a plate”.
