I like to do most of my own maintenance on my cars. The feel of oil and grease under my nails is a nice change from my typical 9-5/button-down-and-khakis. Unfortunately, some of these newer cars are little bit trickier than what I’m used to.
A simple oil change took me 3 hours and cost me $100.
On the bright side, the emptiness in my wallet has been replaced with a feeling of accomplishment.

“3 hours” and “$100″ require some explanation. I’m pretty sure I couldn’t spend that much, even with synthetic oil and an expensive filter.
