3:16am – My alarm goes off, I silence it and quickly fall back to sleep.
4:36am – I am awoken by a call asking why I haven’t shown up yet. [I was supposed to arrive at a location 25 minutes away, 16 minutes ago, and I was still asleep.]
4:59am – I arrive in Las Colinas to pick up Jordan and Jill to head out to Murphy, TX. [Today is the grand opening of a Chick-Fil-A in Murphy, and if you are one of the first 100 you receive tons of free Chick-Fil-A].
5:37am – We arrive at the Chick-Fil-A to see tents and about 100 people. Then, by speaking with some of the people there, we find out that the “First 100″ have to arrive there 24 hours before the actual grand opening and remain on the property the entire time. We had arrived 23.5 hours late.
5:43am – We sulk for a moment and then quickly re-plan our morning to no longer include the Murphy Chick-Fil-A, but rather a donut shop, a starbucks, and a Chick-Fil-A in Las Colinas.
7:29am – Arrive back to Jordan and Jill’s apartment to drop them off and get ready for school before heading to South Dallas to “start” my day.
Needless to say, we were all disappointed that we woke up ridiculously early and looked like fools showing up a day late for the Chick-Fil-A opening, but we still made the best of it.

I haven’t had Chik Fil A since I left for college. Count your blessings.
