Thanksgiving Break

Over the Thanksgiving break I played a lot of tennis.

The weather was beautiful, the court was free, and the exercise was over due. Perhaps so overdue in fact that my body didn't care for it much. I'm now sore in a number of places, but it was all worth it.

And I plan to do it again as soon as it warms up...

Rush Wedding

Rachel McBride and Jonathan Rush were married on November 21, 2009.

The uniting of Rachel and Jonathan in holy matrimony was a beautiful thing. Officiated by our very own Pastor Tim Meister, the ceremony went beautifully as the two love-birds exchanged vows and pledged [before God and man] to give themselves to one another as long as they both shall live...

Was I dreaming last night or did the following situation actually happen?

I was lying on the floor in the living room of my apartment and Nathan says something about, "...making it rain." as he walks towards me with a box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch...

Pie-dar

I think I've got a serious pie-dar.

The other day I walked into the kitchen at church and I thought, "There's pie here somewhere."

Then, when I walked past the sink I saw a pie knife with fresh marks of pie on it.

Nailed it...

Mariachi-Bandits

My small group [aka: home group, life group, cell group, whatever you want to call it] is called the Mariachi-Bandits.  I’m not sure why we called ourselves “bandits” other than its a play on the word “band”, but I know that we wanted to be Mariachi- because a portion of our group is hispanic [and we like to celebrate our diversity]

Old District

The other day I had some free time so I went to have my car washed in an older section of town.

It was cool because some of the signs and buildings look like they haven’t been touched since the 50′s.

Oak Cliff is a very old part of Dallas.  Back in the day it was said to be affluent, but over time

I’ve been doing more design work as of late, and I’m really enjoying it.

If you or someone you know needs either some print or web work done, I’m available.

NCA

Sunday afternoon I went with my small group co-leader to the NCA [National Cheerleading Association] Competition.

It was hosted at the DCC [Dallas Convention Center].

It was an eye opening experience for me, because first off, I didn't realize there were that many cheer leaders, and secondly, I didn't realize they all took it that seriously...

Research Paper

I'm required to write a paper for a class I'm taking at CFNI.

It needs to be 5-7 pages, and my professor says it needs to be, "...the most profound thing we've ever written, or so help me-"

Its due next week.

I have a considerable amount of work already done [I'm not procrastinating this] but I still have a lot to do.

Zach's bday

Zach's birthday was the other day.

We used to live together and so I feel almost like his brother. To help celebrate his birthday a group of us went down to Cedar Hill to have a bon fire and hang out.

We had a good time until the police officer stopped by and let us know that the park had closed...

Accordion to Andrew

Sunday afternoon my entourage and myself met up with a local photographer to shoot the album cover for my new musical endeavor.

As well as being half of the chart topping hip-hop group known at BDAT, I'm also branching out to do a solo project called, "Accordion to Andrew". You can look for it next spring...
