Sunday afternoon I went with my small group co-leader to the NCA [National Cheerleading Association] Competition.
It was hosted at the DCC [Dallas Convention Center].
It was an eye opening experience for me, because first off, I didn’t realize there were that many cheer leaders, and secondly, I didn’t realize they all took it that seriously.
I guess it just surprises me a little because I never took sports seriously, I did, however get real serious when it came time for BPA [Business Professionals of America].

Yeah, those competitions are nuts. Not nearly as boring as other competitions I’ve been to.

Sorry to Ashley.
I didn’t even realize that marching bands had competitions.
And L. Grant, I bet you’ve been to some intense competitions with Alex in cheer and what not.

Yeah, most of my cheerleading competition experience is due to my sisters’ involvement in the sport, but I also dabbled a wee bit.
