When was the last time you went to the Roller Rink [The Roller-Skate place]?

If you were with me Friday  night, then you went Friday night.  Above is a poorly lit photo of our adventures at Kristina’s birthday party. We had a lot of fun laughing at each other when we fell down.

I had one especially good fall when Jessica Warren was chasing me.  Also,

A while ago I cooked a huge Christmas Ham. There was so much that I decided to save some of it because eating Ham for the next 15 meals didn’t sound to appetizing. So I took a lesson from Grandpa and Grandma Cantrell and froze my leftovers.

Jump back to date. I took some out of the freezer the night before so that the

A warning against over indulging information on the information super highway.

I'm a huge fan of social-networks and pretty much anything on the internet, but I know that these seemingly fun and friendly services can quickly turn dire if we fail to regard them with caution.

I'm sure many of you have been warned of the dangers of meeting people in person that you found online. That is a legitimate concern, but not the one I'll be addressing today. Today I want to warn you about spilling too much information to people you don't know, and show you how it can potentially hurt you.

An Uncomfortable Request

Allow me to begin by saying, “I’m totally comfortable in my body.  I mean, I know I’m no Matthew McConaughey, but I’m practically a Channing Tatum.”  And I say all that because despite how confident I am in my rugged good looks, the other night I really didn’t want to take off my shirt.

However, its not because I didn’t think the ladies would like it, rather I thought they’d enjoy it a little too

Burger Night

“Everyone loves a good burger.”

That’s just one of the many reasons that I decided to host “Burger Night”.

Burger Night is the type of event that takes advantage of the nice weather while bringing friends together to share in a good meal.  Complete with all the fixings, I cook up a hearty mess of red meat on our modest charcoal grill.

Funny story about the grill.

This is Zach Shea.

You may be thinking that his face looks funny in this picture, but rest assured it doesn’t usually look like that, and that it only looks this way because he is about to breath fire.

Yeah, that’s right, BREATH FIRE!

Be impressed, be very impressed.

I think he’s 2 parts dragon.

Snowboarding

I went snowboarding today.

A some-what annual tradition has been in place for myself and some of my friends to go snowboarding every year over the MLK 3-day weekend.  We firmly believe that the best way to celebrate the life of a civil rights activist is to journey to the mountains.  Perhaps that’s because he mention in one of his greatest speeches that he had, “…been

I’ll be leasing this house next month.

I’m so excited.  Me and 5 other guys are going to turn this vintage homestead into one of the coolest houses around.

The specs on the house are like this:

  • 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, & 2 living areas
  • 2500+ sq. ft.
  • Two floors
  • Located in/near Kessler Park
  • Built in the mid 1920′s and recently remodeled.
  • Big kitchen for dinner parties
  • All around awesome.

School started.

I’m in my 4th semester at CFNI.

It’s been fun. On monday, the first day we started, my sister surprised me at the school.  She had enrolled and is now one of my classmates.

I’ve got a really good schedule and I’m excited to learn some nifty stuff.

Salvation Army

Salvation Army is a thrift store.  It is not to be confused with a militia. That’s something else, better saved for another post.

But these thrift stores are awesome.  They are perfect for college students and other poor people.  I went with some friends to go look for furniture.  I and my roommates need a dining room set [table and chairs]. So if you happen

Happy Birthday Nate James

Yesterday was Nate James’ birthday.  He turned 21.

We had a shindig for him.  I made some queso and he set out some drinks.

We had a sign set up that asked people to donate to the tattoo fund. He wants to get a new tattoo for his birthday, and since it will be pricey he asked everyone to chip in instead of getting

My roommates and I are looking to move out of our apartment and find a nice house to rent.

We went to look at one property, but saw this sign on one of the local shops.  We used it as a barometer for the condition of the neighborhood.

In case someone reading this doesn’t quite understand I’ll spell it out.  If a store tells you not

Happy New Year

Happy New Year!

I hope you all had a great time closing one decade and beginning a new one. I, with a group of people, celebrated the new year with London at his lake house.  We made some breakfast burritos and played “murder in the dark”.  Then watched the ball drop and said things like, “hurray” and “yippee”.

It was a lot of fun.
