I Picked Up a Ladder
I literally picked up a ladder.
What happened was I was going out to eat with some friends, and as we got out of the car near 35 and Northwest Highway, we heard what we thought were gun shots. It was really just a ladder falling out of the back of a pickup truck.
Josh said, “Man that sucks to lose a ladder.” And I said, “That’s gonna suck to hit a ladder,” [since it was lying in the middle of the road. So being the great citizens that we are, we ran out and grabbed a 16' aluminum extension ladder.
We decided to put it on the sidewalk area so that if they guy who lost it came back he'd see it on the side of the street. But almost two hours later when we were leaving the restaurant, no one had come back for the ladder. So I decided to take it home.
It was kind of a trick getting it to fit in my sub-compact of a car. But we did, and now I'm the proud owner of an awesome ladder [which I plan to use at my new house in less than 20 days].
