It’s all about perspective.
Perspective:
I’m so rich my table cloth has a higher thread count then you’re bed sheets. I spill food on higher quality then you sleep on.
Reality:
We were having guests over for dinner and didn’t have a table cloth. I used some sheets that I had lying around [which I had purchased for the color but they so happen to be a high thread count] as a make shift table cloth. That was 6 weeks ago, and we haven’t bothered to replace it with an actual table cloth.
Perpective:
I’m self employed, I’m my own boss. I can do whatever I want, work whenever I want and charge as much as I want.
Reality:
Because I have “clients” it actually feels like I have several bosses instead of just one. I have deadlines that are at times more demanding then having a fixed schedule. I have to be under bid most projects to ensure I get the job because my “company” is so small and unheard of.
It’s all about how you look at things.
