Last night Willie and I went on an adventure.
Stephen M. had called and asked us to pick up his bikes from “the guys’ apartment”. We were more than happy to help out. So last night on our way home we had Emily drop us off at the apartment so we could just ride the bikes back to our house. Little did I realize that one of the bikes had a flat tire.
With no pump or patch kit to be found I decided to walk the bike back. But before we had even gotten out of the apartment complex I realized it was going to take far too long. So I turned my attention to the deflated tire to see if I could remove the rubber and simply ride on the rim.
20 min. later I realized that despite loosening the brake I was unable to remove the rubber tire completely from the wheel because of the axel. But being determined to ride the bike home I did what I could to hold the rubber tire and inner-tube in my hand and biked the rest of the way home on the rim.
It was an adventure because it was two-in-the-morning. And because I looked silly riding with half of the tire in my hand and half still stuck between the frame and the wheel.
Also, You loose a lot of traction and control when you ride on the rim.

P.S. Stephen, if you read this post, don’t worry, the wheel/rim is totally fine.
you should have just done a wheelie the whole way…problem solved
