Today was our second trip into “The City”.
I’m still learning my way around Manhattan and it’s lower east side.
Today we went out to pay our respects to lady liberty. She seems nice enough. But before doing that we passed the Empire State Building, and went in the New York Public Library, and a number of awesome cathedrals. We also swung by Ground Zero to see

New York has a reputation of being the greatest city in the world. I’m forever loyal to Texas, but I think NYC lives up to its reputation.
We’re doing some of the typical touristy things and seeing the sights. It’s been pretty great.
Tomorrow we’re going back for round 2.

The four of us departed on a trip to New York on the 26th.
The flight was an all day affair, flying us from Dallas to Houston, where we changed planes, then over to Tampa and finally up to Long Island. It took almost 8 hours.
We finally made it though, and New York has been so worth it. We are staying with Jared’s family;

As YFN ends most of us have to transition back to the real world. Its difficult because everything that we would have had to deal with during the two months of our internship usually just gets procrastinated until YFN is over; but once YFN is over you have more to business to take care of than anyone would want.
Fortunately for me,

Yesterday was the last day of YFN Nation Games. All the leaders and assistants posed for a group photo to remember the summer, the sweat, the late nights, early mornings, and overall fun times they had together.
I wasn’t on the nations team, but occasionally worked with them out on the field to record the games and what not.
These interns have been incredible and I can’t wait for

Today begins Week 5 of YFN. It’s exciting because we feel like we’ve really built up to this week; and as Pastor JC always says, “The best is yet to come,”
Also, I’m glad to see paradigm today. It’s been a while since I got to see the group and excited to see what God is going to do in them and through them this week.

Its day 2 of YFN [week 4] and I’ve scheduled myself some time out on the field. I also was able to attend Nations Rally and help out Jamaica with their cheer.
While out on the field I sported a Brazil bandana because it matches my hat so well. All the nations did well at their different games, I’m really impressed with this week’s students.

Today we celebrate America’s Independence [and thus her birthday as well].
I’m hoping to shoot of some awesome fireworks tonight. There’s just something about the smell of gun powder and the deafening burst of an artillery shell that booms, “I’m America, And You Can Too”.
Also, a small group of us wanted to start our own 7/4 tradition: Patriotic Brunch.
We made waffles topped with strawberries

YFN began almost a month ago, we had work-weeks before that, but the actual camp has been in full swing now for 3 weeks (which gives fair explanation to why PN has been dormant for a month).
But excuses aside, YFN has been phenomenal [pun–because the theme this year is phenomenon]. Its a life changing event for interns as well as campers. I’m excited about
