Today we celebrate America’s Independence [and thus her birthday as well].
I’m hoping to shoot of some awesome fireworks tonight. There’s just something about the smell of gun powder and the deafening burst of an artillery shell that booms, “I’m America, And You Can Too”.
Also, a small group of us wanted to start our own 7/4 tradition: Patriotic Brunch.
We made waffles topped with strawberries [red], whipped cream [white], and blueberries [blue]. It was fantastic, we also had entire pound of bacon, pigs in a blanket, and french toast. It was a terrific start to one of July’s best holidays.
