I had just finished loading up my plate with lunch from the cafeteria line when I spotted a friend of mine seated at a table. I made my way over to him and set my plate down at the seat next to him. After sitting myself, I turned to say hello, but found it was not the guy I thought it was.
It turns out from the back this guys looks a lot like another guy at CFNI.
The next 15 min were a little uncomfortable. It turned out that neither of us were really in the mood to meet someone new, so we just ate. I would have left and eaten somewhere else, but I thought it would be more awkward to get up with a full plate and say, “You’re not the person I thought you were”. And even worse to not say anything–because then the guy feels like he’s an outcast or something.
