Day 8

8:32 am on

This is the 8th and final entry documenting my adventures at Cornerstone.

On the 7th day, after I had already sent out the day’s email, I wrestled Bailey to the ground.  I felt really good afterwards.  Some of you may recognize that as “out-of-character” for me, but Bailey had been less-than-helpful for the latter part of the week and it was creating more work for me [very uncool].

That evening towards about 7pm most of the vendors

This is the 7th entry in an 8 part series documenting the events of my
trip with Love The Unloved to Cornerstone.

Last night on my way down to main stage there was a large group of
about 200 people blocking the road. As I got closer I heard a
countdown and then the group exploded into a prerehearsed chant/song
of sorts. I continued walking past an onlooking security official who
turned to a boy next to him and explained, “Dont

This is the 6th entry in an 8 part series. To see the previous posts

Last night in between The Almost and Anberlin a guy named Jamie got up
and spoke for a bit about To Write Love On Her Arms (he is the
founder). It was cool to hear him speak because I like the story
behind his organization. It was also cool to see The Almost, the only
weird thing was

This is the 5th entry in an 8 part series documenting the events and
happenings of Love The Unloved’s trip to Cornerstone.

First off, the only place I get a decent signal is on a road at the
top of a hill. Last night it was raining and so I typed my post up in
the RV and thm ran up to the road so I could send it out via email.
Unfortunatley the rain was too hard and I

This is the 4th entry in an 8 part segment regarding my trip with Love
The Unloved to Cornerstone.

Day 4 went pretty well. Hayes and I worked 13 hours at the booth.
Pretty intense, but that’s what you do when your working for poor
African students. Tomorrow looks like more of the same. I’m sorry I
haven’t posted any pictures, I found that I can’t post pics from my
phone.

Cell service is still hard to come by. Good news is

Day 3

This is the 3rd entry in an 8 part series regarding Love The Unloved’s
trip to Cornerstone.

Today the booth opened to the public. We generated a lot of excitement
by pasting over 500 posters advertising our booth. We also went around
and handed out about 600 leaflets with our info on it. The booth has
had some pretty solid traffic for not being mentioned in the official
Cormerstone program (mostly bands).

On a personal note I’m getting some sun (trying to

Day 2

This is day 2 of an 8 day trip with LTUL to Cornerstone (Bushnel, IL)

We arrived around 7am. We found our place at the end of a mile long
line. The gates didn’t open until noon (however if you had a booth you
got in at 9). We entered and found a spot to claim as our own. From
there we went to LTUL’s booth to set things up there.

Afterwards I needed to go to the bathroom. Cornerstone

This is day 1 of an 8 day segment regarding Love The Unloved’s trip to
Cornerstone.

“Tommy, your order is ready, Tommy”

Our group was the only people there. We looked at each other and asked
who that could be for since there wasn’t any one else present. I was
seated in the seat closest to the counter so I was thus elected to go
see if the food was for us I for “Tommy”. I went up there but all
