“Everyone loves a good burger.”

That’s just one of the many reasons that I decided to host “Burger Night”.

Burger Night is the type of event that takes advantage of the nice weather while bringing friends together to share in a good meal.  Complete with all the fixings, I cook up a hearty mess of red meat on our modest charcoal grill.

Funny story about the grill.

ice cream breakfast

The other day a small group of us [Trish, Cameron, Caleb and myself] went out to Cafe Brazil for coffee.

Since it was still “kind of” my birthday I ordered the Fried Ice Cream.  Little did I know that the serving was big enough for an entire 3rd world nation.

The four of us ate all we could and we only ate about

Terrible Sandwich

I made the worst sandwich the other day.

It was terrible. I'm naming it the "terrible sandwich". It was made of fish, cheese, onions, and mushrooms, on a bruchetta bread.

I don't normally make such horrible dinners, but this was a long day. I got home around 9p after leaving the apartment at 7:30a. I had been just going going going, all day and was more than ready to get home, eat a good meal, and relax....

Party Sticks

Apparently, Wal-Mart and I have very different definitions of "party".

I was in the grocery store the other day when I picked up this package. Its a box of pre-cut carrots and celery, but these aren't regular vegetables—these are party vegetables. Or at least that's what it says on the box.

Happy Birthday Lauren

This is two days late, but I'm not sure it will matter because I don't think Lauren R. is a PN reader. No matter though, I and the rest of the team [my computer?] here at PN wish Lauren the happiest of birthdays....

Cinco De Mayo

Yesterday was Cinco De Mayo [translated as the "5th of May"]. Its a holiday celebrated mostly in America and a particular state of Mexico. The holiday originally serves to commemorate a battle between France and Mexico, but America celebrates it in a way to remember Hispanic heritage and culture...

Spur The Moment

Can you guess what's happening in this picture? Few people have been able to. I'll give you one more guess.

Give up? I'm doing a cartwheel. Down the isle of the IB at CFNI. Pretty crazy I know...

TV cookies

Read about how I narrowly escaped death—I mean how I accidently burt the cookies when I had some friends over last night.

Also, the show Lie To Me is really good. You should check it out

Dinner

What do you do when you've got half a loaf of bread starting to mold? Eat it. As fast as you can, so that the mold doesn't infect the rest of the bread. But what meal uses half a loaf of bread? You've probably never heard of it, 'cause I invented it today.

Cornish Pasty

I made Cornish Pasty tonight for dinner.

For those of you that are less cultured then myself [aka: your sister isn't a chef] you might never have seen “Cornish Pasty’s” before.  If that is the case, then I send my sincerest regards, because well—to be frank—they are delicious.  And so very delicious.

Being out on my own I’m trying to cook different things then the

If you are ever in the Oak Cliff area and you need a good Car Wash/Laundromat/Restaurant then Phat Matt’s is the place you need.

Phat Matt\'s

Located just off of Loop 12 in the middle of the ghetto its hard to miss.  Last night I went there with a couple close friends.  The food was intense [like camping*].  I got the Po’k
