I survived.

This morning we packed everything up and after the morning’s final
session we loaded up the bus and headed for home.

About 3 hours into the trek one boy got sick and puked. I helped Mr.
Mitchel clean the boy and floor up. After everything was sanatized
with wet wipes I sat with the boy and held his garbage bag as be puked
twice more.

The bus ride also became very warm when we got stopped in rush hour

I’m blogging from the pool side. Sitting on a bench in the shade
because the sun is too hot.

It’s the 4th day at Dry Gulch children’s camp and as I watch the
children swim I notice one little boy with peculiar swim attire. He’s

and Mitchel and in turn we throw them off of us. So, that’s why my
muscles and body is tired, but mentally I’m feeling rested because
everything is

Today Mitchel, Joel, and I hung out with the boys in bunks 27 & 28.
They had mostly water activities so we went with them to get wet.
Before that however, we raced the go-karts. Then after lunch we went
tubing at the lake. We broke for snack time and following that we went
down water slides.

The evening concluded with service and some “night activities” [girls
went on a train ride (where we soaked them) and guys went to

As suggested by the title this is part 1 of a 5 part series. I’ve been
doing a lot of these continuation posts but that is mostly due to the
fact that I’m travelling a bit.

First off, oh my gosh! I had no idea kids camp was this great. It’s
even better as a sponsor then it was as a kid. Further more I think
there is a bit of a conspiracy between the sponsor parents and other
parents, because
