Today begins Week 5 of YFN. It’s exciting because we feel like we’ve really built up to this week; and as Pastor JC always says, “The best is yet to come,”
Also, I’m glad to see paradigm today. It’s been a while since I got to see the group and excited to see what God is going to do in them and through them this week.
Last night I went by CFNI in time for YFN's evening service. Like anyone would expect it was the rizzle-dizzle.
I mean, aside from the awesome stage design, the incredible graphics, the funny videos, the live performances, and the shear magnitude of 800 young people worshipping God together, YFN is still out of this world.
Last night Paradigm had a summer kick off party. It was tight and off the chain and all those other hip slang terms.
We had guest worshiper Elizabeth Clark come in and do her thing [which was awesome] and then we all went outside and enjoyed some grilled burgers and hot dogs and played some games. I didn't get a chance to play red-neck golf but I wanted to...
Last night there was a pool party/grill out for the adult and intern leaders of Paradigm [the youth group I work with]. Jack Green was kind enough to let us use his house—which just so happens to be great for these kinds of shindigs.

On Wednesdays I have a pretty routine schedule. Work [at BG Development] from 8-noon. Then I go home for lunch. I either work from home or go into the GLK office for a few hours. Then I meet up with whomever at Starbucks. And from there we go to church. Occasionally we stop for dinner in between Starbucks and Church, but not this week...
I was waiting to get footage [video or photo] of the BA performance Wednesday night before blogging about it. But its been over 24 hours and I'm sure you all are starving for a post, so I'm just going to use what I have. Here it is...
Its a new "band" that I spontaneously formed with Guitarist Brett Morris. His talented fingers play melodiously while my sparkling voice carries our band towards stardom. Look for us this wednesday at Paradigm. We've landed our first gig playing an offertory [while someone takes up offering]...
Imagine what would happen if someone wrote a rap that somehow summarized their weekend. They could be clever and call it a "Weekend Rap-Up" instead of 'wrap-up'. It would be great, everyone would love it.
If you can't quite imagine how awesome it would be, just click "Read More".
Last night at church I fell victim to a prank. It started with a helpful txt message alerting me that I was going to need a pair of scissors in order to leave. This peaked my curiosity and so I gathered a small group of people to go and investigate what had been done to my car.
Click 'Read More' to read all the dirty details and how I retaliated.
Tuesday on Twitter there were some messages regarding EMP [Early Morning Prayer]. Pstr. Tim said that they had a good prayer meeting and I mentioned that I miss early morning prayer. Now that I live in Dallas and have to be at school by 8 its nearly impossible...
Last night [Wednesday, 01/22/09] Paradigm had a special service in which guest speaker Pastor Jaycee Jennings came and brought the word. Guest worship band Regeneration [YFN's house band] also was present.
The service was great. I enjoyed the worship and the word. It was also good to see some old faces.
If you weren’t able to come you can look over my notes to see a little bit of what you missed. Note: Reading what I wrote
Paradigm has an annual Christmas party for the leadership team. Its always a blast.
This year for a gift exchange we played “Yankee Swap”. This is a game where everyone is ordered by number [randomly selected] then beginning with the first person they pick a gift and open it. The next person to go either chooses to steal their gift or open a new one. Gifts
Last night was the annual Paradigm Christmas Party. It was loads of fun. Good freinds, good times, good costumes, and good food. Special shout out to the Media Small Group who all dressed up like Bandits. We didn’t win, but I think we would have come in a close second.
Also, Nathan and Trish’s group did great with their rendition of West Side
After Paradigm last night a small group of us went to dinner at On The Border. Rachel Chapmen was in town and it was Taylor H.’s birthday eve. Each event would have been enough reason to celebrate with chips and salsa, but when you combine the too there is nothing to do but celebrate.
The waitress who served us was a nice lady, I didn’t get
UPDATE: Lance scored like 15 free cookies by using his suave wit.
I left immidiatley following school with Aaron Money to go with some other guys to set up early for Paradigm’s fall retreat, One Voice. We got there and set up was ok, we were a little late and we felt under equipped but we pulled together to pull it off.
I left my MacBook out in the foyer so some people could play around with PhotoBooth. Not to my surprise, when I came back I had all these “wonderful” photos [and 2 video clips].
For a while now I’ve been looking for an operrunity to move a sleeper-sofa from my patent’s house to my dorm room. Last night seemed like an opportune time.
Paradigm had ended and the interns were working hard to transform the sanctuary from a slamming youth center to our traditional Sunday morning scene. As we finished Zach, James, and I jumped into the car and headed to my house. The plan was to swap my
Today’s post is a two for one sort of thing. The first part is about Paradigm. Paradigm is the youth group I go to. Its a branch of LakeShore church in Rockwall. I like it a lot. I’d say its the best youth group
Last night was the Paradigm Throwback Christmas Party. It was amazing! My small group and I dressed up as the 1920’s. It was spectacular. As you can see in the picture, I went all out. It was fun. I pulled out all the stops when I included a flask filled with Apple Cider. It was awesome. Just about everyone there last night
Taylor H. and I run this great little group called The Andrew-Taylor Experience. We always have a lot of fun and stuff. We usually meet at 6 as part of Shift Small Groups. Yesterday though, we met up at the church after 3rd service and went out for a day of fun. As you can see in the picture, a good time was
